First Class Beat Down

Saturday, April 11th marked an embarrassing day in Yankee history. The Yankees would match up against the Cleveland Indians in game three of the series and it was also the third game played in the Yankee's new stadium. This will be a day to forget for many Yankee fans.

After being up 2-0 after the first inning, the Yanks would give up 14 runs in the 2nd. And the massacre didn't stop there. The Indians would go on to score 22 runs on 25 hits in this game. Everyone on the Indians' roster got at least one hit.

The Yankees new stadium seems to be some sort of a problem. The stadium appears to be a veritable wind tunnel that is rocketing balls over fences. So far this season, a total of 25 homers have been hit. There is nothing that the Yankees can do to alter the park during the season. In order to make a change, they would have to petition in the off season. At the pace they're going, about 400 home runs would be hit in this park by the end of the season. That's a 250% increase from last year. All I have to say is good luck!
