The King Has Fallen

The economy is hitting everyone hard. Anyone saying they aren't affected by the economy is a damn liar. Over at King Magazine, they are closing down shop. That's right. King Magazine is calling it quits. After being one of the main sources for butts and rims for the past 6 years, with over 50 issues, their final issue will hit newsstands April 21st. It is really a shame. All the jobs that are going to be lost because of how bad the economy is.

Blender Magazine, along with many others have already gone out of business. It's only a matter of time before other magazines go out of business. With the rise of the Internet, the need for magazines isn't of much demand as it was at one time.

The final issue of King will feature Joe Budden's girl, Tahiry, on the cover and hits newsstands April 21st.

So who loses and who wins from this situation? The obvious losers are all the workers, writers, and staff who are out of a job. Also all the jail inmates who enjoyed this magazine (for various reasons) are out of luck now too. But is there any positive from this? From a feminist point of view, maybe this is a victory on their side. Women won't be exposed and objectified anymore from this magazine.

Either way, it's sad to see how our failed economy is bringing everything down
